There really isn't a good solution for this. I doubt taxing AI companies would generate enough funds. To give that many people a meaningful income would require trillions annually. I doubt that AI companies have that kind of money, and even if they did, they would leave the country rather than pay it. Also, just giving people money for sitting around and doing nothing would be crushing from a sense of self-worth and personal esteem. It would be better to spend the money on retraining people to go into trades then just giving handouts.
