the sheer reliance on autopilot/fsd whatever you want to call it is insane. people literally don't react to anything until the car beeps at them or does it for them. Defensive driving. Check your mirrors, watch cars close to you. it's not that hard. I drive a jeep with no stability control, no traction control, no antilock brakes, no automatic transmission and I have been cut off and brake checked more times than i can count. Teslas are good for redundency but it scares me how many people just let a Tesla drive for them. so much money and so much time could've been saved if people just payed attention while they were driving. assume everyone on the road is an idiot that will cut you off. leave room, especially in bad conditions, and let people merge even if you have the right away if the alternative is you getting sideswiped. Doesn't matter what car you drive you always have to be paying attention. no text or call or picture or any notification from your phone is more important than the health and safety of you, your passengers, and the people around you. If you absolutely need to call or text, do it over voice, set the phone down or get a bluetooth head unit it's like $50 bucks.
