There are limitations though that rarely get mentioned. For one power. The training of current models takes a LOT of power, and as models get more complex, the learning phase takes a lot longer and and uses even more power. There are also limits reached with the transfer of information between dedicated AI chips, they're now forced to move to light interconnects to be able to be fast enough, to make systems with many AI chips viable. Speaking of these "digital intelligences" here mentioned depends on a very high speed and broad connection between entities. There is very good animated show with related themes I can recommend, it's called "Pantheon".
