As an artist I genuinely dislike the hate the art community is giving to AI art. Majority of AI engines do not copy paste other artists designs it genuinely learns from them like a human learns from art just at a better scale. I agree that AI art is not the same caliber as fine art or digital art, but it's not something to completely disregard and get disgusted at. You wouldn't say a photographer isn't an artist because they are only capturing something that already exist, you would just call them a photographer instead, still an artist just a different kind. AI is another medium to create art and I honestly have no issue with people using it. As long as they tell the truth that it is AI. I suggest artist using AI engines to create references and art pieces and have fune with it before telling someone it isn't art or getting mad at a person using it. AI is a tool and people shouldn't be condemned for using it.
