It genuinely pisses me off how people compare Ai to digital art. Digital art is VERY similar to physical art- the only advantages are the undo button, paint bucket and stretch/lasso tool. (But physical artists use similar tools all the time.) I could 1000% recreate one of my digital pieces on a canvas. Could an Ai “artist” do that with one of “their” pieces? No way! I don’t even understand why people would invent, or support Ai. It breaks my heart that people have such a hatred of artists that they want to steal and take without any compensation. Lazy thieves have always stolen art but this Ai thing has made it way too easy. I don’t get what the end goal is??? To turn everything around us into hideous robot slop that destroys the ecosystem? To make the few billionaires even richer and everyone else poorer? To dilute the internet with robot slop until the average person is incapable of accessing real art or credible information? (Let’s not forget the huge misinformation issue Ai has created outside of the art community as well.) To make women and girls fall victim to these same tools that are now being used to generate non-consensual p0rn? To replace human connection? To kill jobs? Seriously, ai is only being used for evil, for the destruction of connection and what makes us human. Only the billionaires win.
