The “answers creating more questions” comment seems very accurate to me.
I think the worry about unemployment for white collar jobs is largely rooted in super intelligence. What happens if AI has ALL the answers? I suppose, at that point, it may be able to answer that question too, and we all just have to hope that we like the answer it gives.
But for the moment with the current technology and trajectory, we don’t know how possible that is or on what timeline. And that unknown makes it very difficult to know how much people should be worrying about it. This causes the current AI, AGI, and super intelligent AI worries to all blend together in conversation and thought.
