AI is an entirely new beast in this world, assuming it succeeds. Old paradigms don't apply here, as this could be the last industrial revolution. Why call it 'intelligent' if it were something else? It is designed to compete with humans on the main advantage humans have over machines. It's no longer a tool; it's an agent. The fear of losing one's job is completely legitimate and sane. Saying otherwise is naive or manipulative.
