The IMMEDIATE and very real danger that comes with AI is... DATA CENTERS. They are currently and will continue to wreck environmental havoc on the world. They drain precious resources at an alarming rate and are often built in areas of the world that cannot sustain them even for a year.
Even if AI was only 100% beneficial to humanity, the danger of data centers to house and power and cool the necessary server farms cannot be mitigated.
