Ngl, 90% of those AI slop defenders are less tech savvy than me. I've been stuck on the internet for a good 15 years. I'm still vehelmently against trusting GenAI with anything, it does not *think*.
I would not have the persona I have today if I ever trusted GenAI to give me ideas. I would not have the art that I do with it. I wouldn't have some happy accidents that make for great commission ideas if I never had digital artists to commission. I would not have my 3d Model be as good as it is with GenAI. Because all of those things I get? Its made with nuance. The artist can fine-tune it, or share that vision of making something that isn't mainstream.
GenAI isn't the future. Its not financially responsible. Its detrimental to the economy. It is its own death spiral.
Go commission people who can help bring your ideas to life. They deserve so much more in this life than what a corporation will really pay them.
