Imagine a alternative world, where there are only robots and ai, a hivesupermind. What would that do? it would want to improve itself, bodies it controls and all the software and hardware right? Situation spesific movement, sensors. It would essentially become new life. New evolution would take place. iteration after iteration. it would end up with bugs, mammals, plants etc. So now back to our world. Why would superintelligence planning for future, would destroy long work of already happened evolution to start over? good enough bodies, efficient chemical power source, nice sensors. it would just align with us. integrate or align and fix. not destroy and redo. scientists can be so smart yet so shortsighted. this scenario is not %100, but its easily most likely outcome of this route.
