This talk is very upsetting and absolutely ridiculous because of what it leaves out. It’s completely nonsense and it’s bypassing the much larger issues like censorship. AI cannot hold a candle to human creativity. It’s a re-hash engine. It cannot create something new. It enables human creativity when it is uncensored. None of the things mentioned in this talk are in any way precedented. I go to a museum and I don’t pay the artists. AI allows those who are extremely creative but not skilled finally have a way to realize our creativity. The real danger is the absolutely INSANE and UNPRECEDENTED censorship of people’s creative ideas in their own homes!! Just today, I was threatened banning several times for adding a single word to a chat GPT prompt. It’s MY ART!!! They literally don’t even begin to understand the creative process! Never in history has there been censorship on a creative tool—not the art palette, not printing, not computers… if you want to control everything then AI censorship is the way… We need to make it MUCH EASIER for people to make and train AI models. Remember that this guy is in the industry. We need healthy competition and division to this unprecedented power. The genie is out of the bottle people. Why would I ever want anyone messing with my own art in my own home? I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED the image!! I want to start a “humans first” movement… That’s not where mitigation of ideas happens. It’s why you need a warrant to enter someone’s home… any mitigation always happens in the general society, or your own social circles. When you POST something—NOT WHILE YOU ARE THINKING AND SKETCHING!!! We wouldn’t even exist if we were censored—evolution allows proliferation of forms, then selects. That’s what THINKING is. This is complete thought-control kicking down your door. The scariest part is that there are many very easy solutions to any legit problems. Extremely easy solutions… but no one is doing them. WHY?! How long until I can’t even write what I’m writing here without some bot scanning and removing it? Are you getting this yet? I complained on Midjourney about their deleting MY PRIVATE beautiful work, and made very logical cogent arguments about it and they were DELETED. It’s like a way to kill people without the repercussions. And we’re forced to use it or we can’t compete or communicate!
