i dont think this is about owning nothing. its goes deeper than that. as you know copyright laws feel like their changing. and all the people getting mad about it dont realize its not about them. its about the race to worlds first AGI. and the reason our laws have to change is because north America is currently losing that battle. (canada and the US) both have strict copyright laws they adhere to. where as china has these laws but alot of companies ignore it and get away with it. and its these companies in china who are currently winning the race to worlds first AGI. you can download any of the AI models developed in china today and have the power of chatgpt locally at home. because the reality is. that while our U.S. based companies are keeping their privately made AI models to themselves. the china based models are free and open. thats a huge problem for anyone in the race.
a true AGI would solve alot of their countries problems, so north america achieving agi before another country is extremely important.
