This sounds less like an "AI stole my job" story and more of a "I trusted the wrong person" story. I'm not trying to be mean to the person, she had her hard work taken from her. It's just that making a bunch of free art for a stranger on the internet is almost guaranteed to have it stolen. It's not fair to blame AI for having your job stolen when you didn't have an official job in the first place.
I know people are probably reading this and thinking that I'm not seeing the danger AI poses or whatever. I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about not being naive in a digital world that strips your humanity and makes it easier for people to forget who you are. Don't be an idiot and make a contract before doing art for someone.
