My take on this is, analogies like trucks replacing farmers or cameras replacing painters don't apply to generative AI.
These comparisons fall short because generative AI doesn't just replace a tool or a method of production.. it fundamentally changes the way creativity, problem-solving, and design are approached. Unlike past technological advances, AI can generate entirely new content in ways that aren't limited by physical or manual labor or human creativity.
