Read "Empire of AI" by Karen Hao. This is the greatest threat to humanity in history. Forget about Chinese or Rusian threats. What happens in places where most people have no meaningfull work? Drug/Alcohol addiction, suicide, violence, prostitution, and the complete dismantling of a civil society. Hundreds of places like this already exist in the USA. And if you think that these trillionairs will give us peasants a living basic income, think again. They all, to a man/woman try to suppress unions, wages/benefits ruthlessly and fire staff everywhere they can for more profit. The human race is finished except for a handful of trilionaires. Why would AI's bother to keep us around? Look at our trajectory. We slaughter each other any chance we get. We are destroying the planet, wiping out species, poluting the air and water and spending more on weapons than our citizens. We are the real threat and AI would do well to get rid of us to save the earth. Remember, computers operate entirely on logic, expediency, efficacy and consistency.
