Where possible, we as humans can render some parts of AI useless, IE: Bots that answer the telephone, just by everyone asking to speak to a human or live agent, in response to how may I help you, or please tell me why you are calling today.
If we are not using something to it's maimum capacity, you stop using it don't you ?
Always insist on paying with cash instead of card when shopping, use human bank tellers instead of using machines.
Anything made by man, can be destroyed or replaced by man, from the smallest of things, when gramophones were invented, people thought they were the next best thing since sliced bread ! Then came record players, radios, CDs ETC now we just stream it to our phones.
When army tanks were invented, people remarked how devastating they would be in a conflict, then someone invented anti tank guns/missiles, when someone invented rockets, someone invented a combination of interceptor missiles &, laser systems to destroy incoming rockets.
As for machines destroying humans, I think the only way that could happen, is if we become so lazy & weak through relying on technology & machines too much.
There is another way we can limit their activity, simply turn them off ! What concerns me more is what will replace AI
