it’s pretty telling how mad people get about ai artists when there’s a long history of generative art works from ancient china all the way up to dada and the surrealists. is there any really difference between automatic drawing and prompting an algorithm? most ai artists use generative processes in tandem with other digital or analog modes. there’s a real lack of education in this area because most people think they can have a stance on art without studying or practicing while also devaluing artists…
