I can completely understand the concerns artists have with AI. At the moment it's still a big gray area, and the art produced by AI isn't quite at the professional level yet (even if some of it is rather amazing) though it is getting there and further development seems to be progressing quite rapidly. Now, I can also understand if someone wants a piece of art that's not specific and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a commission. Which is fine in a way I guess. But if someone wants an art piece that is specific and personal, like a portrait, and wants it in a specific style, they need to find an artist that can deliver that. At least they SHOULD do that. With an actual artist you can discuss what exactly it is you want and during the process of making the piece they can give you updates and ask if there's anything you wish to be changed. You can't do that with a bot. So, though I'm not exactly looking down on AI, I personally support the real hardworking artists that put a lot of time and effort into honing their skills and producing wonderful art.
