The only thing that happens is masses of people are expected to do nothing professionally are wars and ethnic conflicts. Looks at already available historical data for various societies. Mass unemployment, especially of males, even in rich countries that could afford having them on social care, always ends in ethnic cleansings and violent conflicts. Why? For human males a professional career is an outlet for hormonally based agression providing ways to compete which are socially acceptable. As of yet I have not seen any AI developing company taking this basic human need into consideration while planning this " no humans needed for work and verything will be done by AI" utopia. So unless any form of tampering with masculine hormones is being plotted without males around the globe knowing, it's going to be very real and massive issue due to the very biological makeup of the humankind. I cannot help but wonder why intelligent people in AI buisness tend to ignore this aspect of possible massive social transformation. Everybody talks about the crisis of meaning and identity. As if all males were phiolosphers by nature. While human males first and foremost are wired to be males. And males are wired to compete due to reproductive hormonal system. Have everyone forgotten that metaphores comparing AI to humans or machines to humans are merely metaphores? And that humans have biological components of their nature that are going to pose much more serious problems than any "identity crisis" or " search for meaning" can pose?
