If we get to a point where no labor is needed for most products at any point in the supply chain, then anything which is abundant will be free. Anything which cannot be distributed to anyone who makes it will cost money, and the people who will have money will be the people who are attempting to make the item abundant. In a true AI world where humans aren't needed for progress, money will no longer be of value.
