That always amazes me. Idiot drivers are killing tens of thousands of people yearly. But a self driving car killed one person in PHX and all simulations proved that even professional drivers made the same mistake in simulations. Mind bending. In the end, I think the insurance companies are going to force this issue and you will require a special license and expensive insurance to drive yourself. People are just too self-absorbed and stupid to be trusted to drive.
