As more and more of the general public are forced into poverty, and as banking and other services are fully automated, it's just a matter of time before people accept implants of Neurolink etc or die.
This is particularly the case in countries where there's no wilderness a small group of peppers could disappear into, like much of Europe.
I am disabled and have disabled friends who would accept Neurolink tomorrow if it meant they could work and get out of poverty, even if it meant knowingly relinquishing control to another body.
