I feel like people are making AI art with a wrong statement to draw from the existance of it.
AI "art" should not be viewed as art. Art is the fulfillment of creativity by skillful effort of the author. If we assume AI put effort into it, then that implies AI lacks creativity. If we assume AI has creativity, then there's a lack of effort. Therefore, no current AI can make art.
Instead, it should be viewed as a statistic. But of course, that would prove AI is boring, because the prompt already represents the statement that should usually be extracted from a statistic.
