AI is.. interesting.
It somewhat depends on how it's used but it does need that data to even work. From a business standpoint, they could see it to be cheaper to use art from the internet than to higher artists for that.
Also, I'm pretty sure most of the companies who have AI dont even step down to go back to previous steps to see what went wrong, they just keep trying to go further.
AI is also being made to be used for cyber security, which i have confirmed from my brother who actually works in cyber security and is apparently an "expert" of ai even though it hasn't been out long enough for someone to be considered an expert of. He made AI concepts for big people (he also forgot to do it weeks prior so he had to create it from scratch a day or so before and they were STILL impressed)
I don't fully support AI art whatsoever but it's interesting to see how it works.
However, I do NOT support model collapse either.
I believe AI should help someone, not just straight up do EVERYTHING for them. Instead of asking AI for a reference, you could use it as a way to find real images online way faster than you could through scrolling for references. Now, it may not give you exactly what you want but it could still be helpful. (AI isn't fully accurate and its why you should double check the information it gives)
anyways thank you for listening to my ted talk
tl;dr: I don't fully support either side but AI is still somewhat good to use when searching something up, though its better to double check what it gives you.
