As a "clanker" an "AI enthusiast" or I'd even maybe call myself an "AI creator" as I do come up with the prompts even if there's no real effort beyond that... I do not understand those that do consider themselves AI "artists" as their "art" is as you said someone else's in a lot of cases. Things I do like are trying to combine different genres like maybe a Boris Vallejo with an Ed Hopper kind of thing along with a mix of classical techniques like sfumato and chiaroscuro -- but I don't con myself into thinking I've "made" **art** from just a few words put into a text box.
