What needs to be addressed relative to "living forever" is the quality of life one would possess. If you could live forever but you would be immobile in a wheelchair for the last 600 years of your life, I don't think many people would choose that. Conversely, if I could live for 1,000 years looking, feeling, and maintaining the mobility of a 45 year old, I would most likely accept that, of course, with the provision that I would want to look younger - say 25 WITH the knowledge of 500 years of existence. I don't think many people would reject that existential possibility.
One more thought: towards the end of the interview there is a conversation about the scarcity of bitcoin and how valuable that scarcity makes it. Does anyone really think that with a sufficient level of AI applied maliciously against bitcoin and the block chain that it would NOT all be compromised? Remember, AI at a high enough level of development is smarter than all of mankind. I don't think this conversation explored the possibilities nor the impact of bitcoin deep enough.
