My personal take on AI art is that it is simply more convenient for me as an everyday joe. AI doesn't make good art (at least not yet and hopefully for a while) but I don't have the skills and time to learn how to draw and to be honest drawing is PERSONALLY very unsatisfying to me. I also don't have the money to commision an artist everytime I want to have an image of something. But to be fair I don't use the images for anything important and mostly just to visualze something. I think that it should be ilegal for ai to be trained on the artworks of artists without permission but to be honest I think many things should be ilegal and they aren't. If I had to vote for a law to restrict the training of AI art I would do it if I could.
