Thing is that when it comes to digital art compared to traditional, it's actually easy on the hands as well as cheaper to use comparably. I have arthritis and it is hard to draw and color a full on peice due to the pressure that is involved when it comes to my joints. I hate coloring traditionally due to such and do not have a lot of fully colored peices on paper like she does. I still sketch though and sometimes make it a full digital peice. I mean I sculpt and paint and even that is easier for the most part than traditional coloring (but not always). Saying that it's soulless is kind of...well...closeminded to put it nicely. From the fact that a human mind and a genuine human's imagination is coming up with these ideas and spending hours, sometimes days, sometimes weeks planning, drawing, detailing, and coloring this out while AI just regugitates what's already been made and mashes things together based on words to the fact that the majority of the tools used in these programs are used just like on paper except with less pressure to your joints, there is a HUGE difference between AI and digital art. Do these people hate 2D animation to? Do they prefer we go back to the old flipbooks to create the animated shows that are made using 2D animation software? I mean seriously. I'm getting into animation, been trying to for years because I love animation half to death. It's hard enough as it is to battle apathy without people coming in claiming they know more about the media than the people who actually put their time and energy into doing the media to put them down because THEY are too lazy to put in the work to learn how to do art themselves. There isn't much difference between digital art and traditional, and those who think there is either are jealous because they can't draw as well digitally or have never actually tried to pursue digital art. Keep on drawing, regardless of your media. Your art is perfect both traditionally and digitally and you shouldn't let AI stuck-ups tell you that all your time and energy is "lifeless", because it's not!
