Humans will adapt. Worst thing that will happen is a total collapse of civilization as we know it. This would be the end of AI as well. Humanity will rise again, from the ashes. It's a story as old as time. We build, reach a peak, everything collapses, we rebuild. Cycle repeats. Roman Empire all over again. A few centuries of a new "Middle Ages" period will follow.
