Deep fakes especially revenge porn ones are awful but if you think they are ever going away in the hope of a world wide response then im sorry but thats deluded thinking.
Scams have been a massive issue for years, they are pretty much illegal worldwide but we have hubs like India where most scams come from.
I could absolutly see someone setting up a deep fake service in a country like this, You supply the original images and pay them and they will make fakes and distrubute them keeping the original perpertrator clean from any possible investigation of the fakes.
Sad but true.
