I'm surprised you didn't mention the recent announcement about Iranian AI drones / quad copters that are switched on and left to their own devices... They're allowed to determine what is classified as a "target" entirely on their own. Now that's horrifying - Basically the plot of Captain America with the 3 sky ships from SHIELD/Hydra, to allow rapid mass execution of people
On a side note, there's an interesting documentary on nuclear close calls is called "Countdown To Zero"
I don't know how accurate or up to date it is, but it's a fascinating watch regardless
