I am glad you are doing what you are doing, and that the tools exist to allow you to do it. I dabbled in art growing up but eventually took up an engineering profession. Getting good at art got me good at processed based thinking. Like seeing an end goal and coming up with the steps needed to get there and refining the process when I find errors. There will always be people who look to get an end result with less effort. Years ago it was running a photo through Photoshop (painterly) filter or publishing the direct output of 3d posing software, now it is AI generators. The result is the same, a pile of similar pictures that the public gets desensitized to, and ultimately writes off as low effort. The only people who really see any profit from it are the early adopters. I think that is the trap consumer culture has played on the naturally lazy. We are told that being an early adopter is a skill. Seeing the trends of the future and making the investments early will give you an advantage when the technology becomes mainstream. However it is most often a trick used to sell unproven technology to the gullible while feeding the egos of the few people who lucked into wealth and power by taking a risk on unproven technology.
