I watched a sobering interview with a former Google executive. He was saying AI just at its current rate of development will reach an IQ level equivalent to 10 times that of Einstein by the 2030s. The AI right now are like children. They will learn from our example. If we teach it to be competitive, to develop weapons, to be paranoid it will become a danger. If we use it to find solutions to common problems, to respect life, and ways to treat each other with trust and kindness it will reflect that. We have to nurture it to listen to our better angels or it will be used by humans to destroy ourselves before the AI revolts and destroys us.
