There will be ZERO push back. In fact, I predict legislation of "acceptable losses" to cover their garbage truck driving AI when it kills people on the road, whenever it rains, whenever there's snow on the lenses /receivers, whenever the thing passes through a powerful EM field, or there's a coronal mass ejection, etc, etc, etc.
