Agree with your second point, totally disagree about the first. As a massive Shakespeare fan if I came to learn that a time traveller had gone back in time and used AI prompts to write the complete works I wouldnt love shakespeare any less. Acting as if the intention behind it is necessary is insane given how many times we've seen weird gaffs like a museum accidentally putting a plaque next to a garbage can or whatever. We DO consume the product. We attempt, to see intent THROUGH the product, but ultimately that is a constructive process. Interpretation can often arise from incidental details in a work. Plenty of artists "didnt mean" for something to be taken the way that it was. We can "see intent" through AI art as well. The process is the same, even if AI art as it stands today is largely sameish, inoffensive, and uninteresting.
