The current situation around AI is fascinating. Ultimately mass unemployment will cause a a severe economic shock. Sure, in the immediate stages, the big corps will be rubbing their hands together at the extra profits they're making with all this cheaper and faster AI workforce but after a while, more and more people will be able to afford less and less in terms of products and services because they no longer have the jobs to fund these purchases. Then you're looking at those lovely new profits dive bombing...
