western elites are so funny, they have a very unique vision about democracy. the world might be collapsing, tyrants might be using their democratic "idealistic" (i would argue it is hypocritical) vision, money, knowledge and institutions (literally, american and european "democratic" think tanks are funding state agents with money and intellectual support to attack and opress every single freedom common working people have in those countries, i can say that about Brazil, where i live) to enslave people, and they're like, oooh the most dangerous issue is how private companies might be looking to replace state power and endanger democracy... if you live in a 3rd world "democratic" country where your only source of income, freedom, knowledge and actual entertainment is by a "big tech empire" you're pretty comfortable with the idea of "endangering" "democracy". other than this politically charged section of the debate, the conversation was awesome.
