Safety on the highway is a commodity. It is an asset class which is invisible until it is gone. It's maintenance is stabilizable only within certain tolerances. The state change of the system after loss occurs happens like a phase state change. Self Driving is not delivering. The solution is not to give one driver four loads to maintain. It is to recognize that these systems are not up to the task, the tech is not as advertised and cannot handle the load we assume it will replace.
