It makes literally zero sense from Artstation's PoV to ban AI art entirely. If AI art is in some form of the future the majority of consumer art. Then they will be literally shooting themselves in the foot when in 5 years the vast majority of artists are using AI. Other competing websites will allow AI art and directly compete with Artstation, and by the time they realize the majority of artists use AI it could be too late and lose a large share of their market. It only makes sense to allow AI Art if they value their future. Completely banning would only help in the short term to make artists happy. Even if using these huge datasites is not fair use. AI art can and will still be trained legally in some form and will take over normal art for consumption at some point.
