(from Be Your Own Algorithm) The people who make AI products DO NOT CARE how they affect creatives, people more widely, or culture in general, so long as they can make money off of it. No f***s given whatsoever. As HBomberGuy points out in his video about plagiarism, people who are willing to swipe the work of others wholesale and pretend its their own for profit, or who don't mind that AI products can only exist because of widespread theft of human works and use them anyway, DON'T ACTUALLY REPSPECT ART OR ARTISTS. They don't respect the skill involved enough to seriously try to develop it themselves, and they don't value the resulting work either, even as they're willing to cheat the process to get it. Its all consumable, it's all disposable, it's all commodifiable. Cheap souls giving in to cheap impulses who have given in to worshiping a cheap culture. All the best to all the artists and creatives out there who have to live through these cheap times.
