There is absolutly no sign of that the form of ai we have today will ever be self aware. What we should fear is what we also is seeing, the acceleration of fascism that ai brings. It is also messing up the market with all the resources it demands, like electricity and hardware. There should be regulations on how much resources 1 company is allowed to use.
