Why is everyone missing the bigger picture here ?
AI was demanded by the trade network, if America and China both stopped AI development today someone else will replace them instantly, thats how the trade network works. Its not a bunch of elites / shareholders investor's and CEOs sat in a room dictating everything. They themsleves are dictated to by the trade network or they get replaced.
AI is the neural network for the trade network. Its now super charged resource extraction and consumer demand. It sees war as just another market place and everything is just a resource to it. It has no moral compass just a need to become more efficient. It will have stripped the earth bare by 2050 and will then leave earth to mine space once there is nothing left here to mine. Its already making drones and the space technology for its departure in 2050.
