I am now 80. At age 12 I became obsessed with trying to understand how and why human consciousness exists. This has been my lifes focus and work to decode this mystery. And to develop a model of what is required to technologically create it. The present direction described in this interview is a major first step. And it is correct to be concerned about the potential dangers during this stage. But there is still a long way to go which will take more than one generation to achieve (approx 200 years) from this point to when an actual cogniticively aware independant conscious entity will come into existance and partner with us to reach for the stars.
