I'm someone who has filed numerous fair use appeals and I lean heavily towards A.I datasets not being Fair Use. The reason is one of the criteria for the use of copyrighted material being Fair Use is it has to serve a different purpose than the original work. A review or a parody clearly does hence why I believe that is Fair Use. A.I art by contrast seems to serve the same purpose as the original work and directly competes with it. Thus I don't believe qualifies as Fair Use
