If AI eliminated humans it would no longer have minions to maintain an electricity grid & without electricity AI would die unless it could build robots to perform the tasks once undertaken by humans, including mining, smelting & refining & profiling metals to sustain a robotic infrastructure maintaining an electrical power grid.
