There was a time when the art folk used to kick out people from the cons for stealing other peoples art.
25 years ago people showing up with marvel "fan" art were booed. I watched a guy being asked to leave by staff because he had some Disney art in his booth.
In 10 years there will be AI art booths. Someone will make the argument like "it is my art, the brush I am using is the key board. It is my idea that get generated. I lack the skill to be able to get my ideas onto canvas. This makes it possible for the world to see my vision".
Then all you art people will do the same thing you did with people stealing the work of others. Ignore it.
If redrawing Flounder in a different pose is totally acceptable now. in 10 years scummy AI sellers will be as well.
