I think we need more context of how students are using AI. I'm an adult learning Spanish, I use AI but not to cheat or write my assignments. I use ChatGPT as an added learning tool when I study or doing homework. If I don't understand something I've read or learnt I'll ask it a question. I like that you can ask follow up questions then I'll ask for examples. I'll talk to it to learn. I'll look something up using a dictionary tool but I'll ask ChatGPT for context.
