AI targeted the all-girl's school in Iran. Everyone who uses chatGPT knows how common hallucinations are. And how much easier everything is using AI. Analogizing the end of the Cold War is twice removed. It will be a race like the Manhattan Project, the incentive being whoever arrives first overwhelmingly eradicating any enemy or competition. In this case however the AGI created may want to eradicate the owner first or at the same time as the competitor. Any Cold War treaty endings will be concerning the remnants of humanity if any.
