AI has not yet materialized into all the BS everyone is saying it will do. There are recent studies telling us that only 5% of companies actually are using AI to increase productivity while 95% have no productivity at all from AI. The companies are laying people off is not due to AI yet. It’s just minimizing workforce and the ones that stay behind get stuck with all the work.
