5:12 The art itself is not what makes us angry, it's the principle and the concepts behind the art and the reason that it was made. As artists, we are getting our works stolen by AI and are getting blamed. We are the victims, we have a right to be angry. You cannot steal a man's wallet and call him soulless for being mad at you over it. People these days, I swear. Furthermore, this idea that art is supposed to be "perfect" is bs. It's not about the art itself, it's the person behind the art. Every brush, pen, pencil, fingerstroke was intentional. It's not just going through the motions. But when you ask an AI generator to make something for you, there is *no* intentionality in the pixels it uses. There's no concept of why it's doing this aside from "because it was programmed to". If you ask an artist why they draw, they'll tell you "because I love making art." For us, it's a part of our personalities, a significant part of our lives, and you AI users don't seem to care about that at all. Art is a passion, a form of emotional expression. It is not simply something to be made just to profit off of. It's not about the money. Art has been a proven therapy tactic. It's good for the human brain. Art is about self-expression and passion, and an AI cannot generate that.
